Mahesh Singh Mahato Dhanusha, March 11: A three-day capacity building training has been organized for the youth of the community to awaken the old values.
Community capacity building training has been started for the youths of five districts of Province No. 2 on the three-day Intangible Cultural Heritage Convention 2003, which started in Sideshwor Municipality of Dhanusha.
The program organized by UNESCO was chaired by Pradip Shrestha, Program Coordinator and Chairperson of Kathmandu Santi UNESCO Center and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law Gyanendra Kumar Yadav was the chief guest of the program.
Speaking as the chief guest, Minister Yadav said that our Mithila rituals have been celebrated in a scientific manner. He said that the natural resources of Madhes have their own uniqueness.
Saying that Mithila is a storehouse of knowledge, he conceived the birth of hundreds of Biduwans including Gautam Buddha from Madhes. He said that all of us should work together for the prosperity of the nation.
The festivals celebrated in a natural and scientific way are in our society. At that time, our country was at the forefront in the field of medicine.
“We understand that Province 2 is a country fighting for the rights and identity of all Nepali brothers and sisters in the construction of an egalitarian society by ending the issues of discrimination, inter-caste and gender discrimination,” said Minister Yadav.
According to Ramesh Ranjan Jha, Acting National Commission Coordinator of the Cultural Committee UNESCO as the special guest, our young generation is stuck in its own situation.
“Our young generation has forgotten its mythical values and is stuck in a stalemate,” said Yuvaran Poudel, Secretary-General of the National Commission for UNESCO. Among the guests was Jaspa’s famous Shali and Arjun Thapa, an intellectual leader of Gandhian thought.

Ramita Khadka, Mali, women leader Archana Jha and others were present. Dipa Rai informed that the program was organized to save the intangible assets and to preserve the mythical values and endangered traditions by passing them on to the new generation.
